At present, the nearest golf is at Alenda, around a 15 minute drive away but Monovar's Town Council has just granted permission for a new "Campo de Golf" on the outskirts of the town – something which is bound to raise Monovar's profile with property buyers.

Property in inland Spain is becoming a popular choice – this region has gorgeous mountainous countryside dotted with pine forests, citrus and olive groves and vineyards, plus an excellent infrastructure of roads and motorways making access to the main airports simple.
